Our Approach

"Good acting should look easy. We all work
very hard to help our students achieve that ease and level of excellence."
"Acting, movement and voice work are all a mandatory part
of our two year program. The additional classes we offer are highly
recommended as well. Requiring movement and voice work to be part
of the training of an actor is by no means a new concept. Unfortunately,
it is usually left to chance, teacher referral or individual interest
on the part of the student. The inherent problem in this disjointed
approach to training is that the student is left to put the different
disciplines together on his or her own. The result is that some
do, and some do not successfully integrate the disciplines. I have
sought to solve this problem through the constant collaboration
between all of the faculty at this school. We have been very successful
at co-teaching, watching each other's classes, and constantly reinforcing
each other's work in our own classes. This ensemble approach to
teaching helps the actor understand and integrate their craft in
a cohesive, productive and effortless manner. The body, voice and
emotional life are unified by the breath and symbiotic in the actor."
