Laura is a gem! She is passionate, dedicated,
witty
and direct. Her Meisner program continues to
influence me and it's been over ten years since I was
a student! I continually refer to her teachings and I
always discover yet another layer. I can't say enough
about how much I value my experience there. Thank you
Laura!

The Laura Henry Acting Studio is the best kept secret in
Los Angeles. This is a program devoted solely to the purpose
of developing actors and actresses. Laura takes you on an
inner journey to learn about yourself before you ever try
to understand character. I am proud to be a graduate of her
studio. The skills I learned there have been the cornerstone
in my continuing discovery of acting.
This program is refreshing. It's not a typical L.A. mill,
where acting is an afterthought to money or celebrity. Laura's
program is where talent prepares to endure the long workout,
stepping into acting humbled and ready to explore one's self,
as well as the lives of the characters they bring forward.

"Laura taught me how to cry, and not because she was
mean to me, but because she is so brilliant at helping students
'talk from your body.'"

"I've had a long association with Laura
Henry as an acting teacher, director and friend. I trust her
word as a teacher and acting coach because it is a word that
comes from the knowledge of the craft as well as an understanding
of human experiences and emotions. She has a razor sharp knowledge
of the Miesner technique, her first forte but certainly not
her last.
She is a consummate director and I have had the pleasure
of working with her as both playwright and actor. As a director,
Laura is game. Game to tackle new, tough and sometimes under-written
material and help it find its voice. She developed and continues
to develop my plays. I can't think of a better partner, in
what is a delicate and difficult process.
She's created The Allison Project, in residence at her studio,
which helps to provide artists of all kinds with a place to
present their work. The Allison Project environment is largely
experimental in nature, and Laura's dedication to the that
environment makes for some wonderful evenings of theatre,
music, and fine art presentations.
I hope we'll see Laura's Audition Skills class in one of
those 'LA's Best kept Secrets' articles in the not-so-distant
future. She's created an audition technique that is clear
and concise with each class building on the last. It's a wonderful
technique which I practice everyday, and it has taken the
mystery out of auditioning for me."

"Laura Henry’s 2-Year Program
is by far one of the best that Los Angeles has to offer. To
declare oneself a Teacher is one of the highest privileges
this world has to offer. A Teacher is a title of honor, a position
of respect, a source of inspiration and a wealth of wisdom.
Laura Henry, this woman who I admire on a professional and
personal level, is a Teacher. So far, I have received 7 out
of 7 favorable reviews. I thank Laura Henry."

Laura Henry's clear, concise "tell it
like it is" teaching methods have been invaluable to me as
an actor. Laura's two year Meisner Program is the foundation
for my work. I know no matter what the audition or what set
I'm working on I have all the tools I need to get the job
done.
